a. Beyond all walls, hedges, fences or any line of white stakes/lines bounding the course.
b. The car park adjoining the 1st hole and on or over the road leading to the driving range.
c. The driving range to the left of hole 15.
d. INTERNAL OOB: Beyond the line of white stakes to the right of hole 11 (when playing hole 11 only). Note: When playing any other hole than the 11th the white stakes defining the boundary of the 11th are immovable obstructions.
e. In or over the ditches to the left of the 13th hole, to the left, right and rear of the 14th hole and to the right of the 16th hole.
f. In or over the hedge to the right side of the 17th hole.
g. The plantation and road to the rear of the 18th hole.
2. PENALTY AREAS (RULE 17)
a. Penalty areas are denoted by red stakes. Stakes are positioned to indicate the natural margin of the hazard, which will be where the ground breaks down to form the depression containing the water. In some cases this will be adjacent to the water itself and in others will include the reed bed. It is the margin indicated by the stakes from which relief should be taken, with the line between the stakes being of no relevance.
b. As an additional option to Rule 17, a ball entering the penalty area level with the 2nd green and level with or behind the 9th and 12th greens, the player also adding one penalty stroke may take relief by dropping a ball in the drop zone (indicated by a white post near the green) within two club lengths of the post.
c. All wooden bridges are included as part of the penalty area and relief is taken under penalty.
d. Any unmarked ditch or stream is to be treated as a red penalty area.
3. PUTTING GREEN (RULE 13)
a. Any putting green that has been replaced by a temporary putting green is a wrong putting green and free relief for interference must be taken under Rule 13-1F.
4. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (RULE 16)
a. Any area encircled by a continuous white line and/or blue stakes.
b. Staked trees – If a players ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies in or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the players stance or area of intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f.
c. Telegraph poles/wires & supports – If it is known or virtually certain that a players ball hit a power line or pole supporting the power line or any attachments on the course, the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the previous stroke was made.
d. The drainage channels on holes 1, 4 & 7, relief is available for the lie of the ball, area of intended swing and stance.
5. INTEGRAL OBJECTS
d. All wooden sleepers are deemed to be an integral part of the course.
Penalty for Breach of Rule:- Strokeplay – Two strokes Matchplay – Loss of hole
NOTES
a. The committee may from time to time introduce Temporary Local Rules to protect the course and to promote fair and pleasant play during periods of adverse conditions. Such local rules will be displayed on the notice boards.
b. Public Footpaths – warning notices on tees must be observed. walkers have right of way.
c. Distance marker post in the fairway are measured to the centre of the green in yards. Red 100, yellow 150, white 200, blue 250.
